vital substances: Dried apples contain the same nutrients as fresh apples, only in a more concentrated form, so dried fruit is essential for a balanced diet. "An apple a day keeps the doctor away" has been known since 1866. Thanks to the pectin it contains, the apple is considered an old household remedy for intestinal problems. The apple has always been said to be a life-prolonging remedy. Today it is well known that it is healthy and rich in vitamin C.^1,2 Dried apples contain a very high antioxidant capacity of 6681 µmol TE (ORAC value = Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacit). By consuming foods rich in antioxidants, the defense mechanism in the body can be strengthened and an overproduction of free radicals can be balanced out. An ORAC daily requirement between 5000 and 7000 is recommended.³

Description: Our organic Fairtrade apple cubes are uniform in size, up to a maximum of 1cm, with their skin giving them strength, but without any remains of the core. They taste very fruity and slightly sweet. They are consistently yellowish to orange in color. They are soft or soft in consistency.

Origin and manufacture: We source our organic Fairtrade apple cubes exclusively from Uzbekistan. The area is largely organic and FAIRTRADE certified and is farmed by the FAIRTRADE farmers who live there. The farmers belong to a large Fairtrade community made up of 3 groups, Dustkul Bogi, Turkiston Gulba and Turob Bobo. They include around 1,000 individual farmers, along with their families. Thanks to the cooperation with Fairtrade, the farmers can offer their families a secure income and their children a new perspective. After harvesting, the apples are washed, cored, cut into uniform cubes and then gently dried with the help of the sun. The drying process used is a very environmentally friendly solar drying method that is extremely gentle on the product. In Austria, the apple cubes are pressure treated. When it comes to printing, the interaction of pressure and time ensures absolute freedom from pests.
