Cashew nuts are characterized by a high content of magnesium, phosphorus, manganese and copper. Furthermore, cashews help to supply the body with vitamin E, vitamin B1, niacin, iron and zinc. The essential amino acid tryptophan contained in cashew nuts, which our body converts into serotonin and melatonin, can provide more inner peace, serenity and contentment [1 and 2]. Cashews contain an antioxidant capacity of 1948 µmol TE (ORAC value = Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity). By consuming foods rich in antioxidants, the defense mechanism in the body can be strengthened and an overproduction of free radicals can be balanced out. An ORAC daily requirement between 5000 and 7000 is recommended [3]. Cashew products are therefore very well suited for a balanced, healthy diet.

Our cashew butter is only made from previously inspected Fairtrade cashew nuts. The taste is very typical of the species, strong and intense. The color of the cashew butter is creamy white to beige and the consistency is very creamy, so it can be used very well for a wide variety of foods and drinks. It gives your creations a very pleasant and strong cashew flavor.

Origin and drying:
We source these organic Fairtrade cashews from West Africa, more precisely from Burkina Faso or Sri Lanka. In both cases, the areas are largely organic and FAIRTRADE certified and are managed by the FAIRTRADE small farmers who live there. Thanks to By working with Fairtrade, the farmers can earn a secure and independent livelihood. With the Fairtrade premium, urgently needed projects such as clean drinking water, school facilities and improved infrastructure can be made possible. Once in Austria, the delicate, creamy white cashew butter is lovingly made from the cashew nuts in raw food quality.
