Vital substances: Cocoa beans contain up to 300 moving substances. The most important of these are the B vitamins, minerals like magnesium and zinc, antioxidants like polyphenol, fiber and unsaturated fatty acids.1 Various other health-promoting effects from the consumption of cocoa have been proven in numerous studies.  Description: Our organic cocoa powder is slightly tart, very aromatic and a real taste experience for every conscious cocoa lover. The powder is reduced in fat and contains only 20-22% fat. The color of our cocoa powder is an intense, deep brown. It is very easy to pour. 

Origin: Our organic Fairtrade cocoa powder is made from cocoa beans that are processed by YACAO in the Dominican Republic. YACAO in turn sources the organic Fairtrade cocoa beans from 10 Fairtrade certified smallholder groups that are organized in FUNDOPO. Thanks to the cooperation with Fairtrade, the farmers can offer their families a secure income and their children new prospects. 

Manufacturing: Cocoa beans are the seeds of the cocoa pods that are fermented after harvest. In doing so, they lose their bitter substances. The beans are then gently dried, creating the polyphenols that determine their taste and the brown color. The cocoa powder is made by cold pressing the raw, peeled (peeled) cocoa beans. Before they are pressed, the beans are sorted very carefully and handpicked several times. The harvest, drying and processing takes place under high hygiene standards and with great care. 

Purity: When it arrives in Austria, the cocoa powder is pressure-treated and controlled as standard. With pressure removal, the interaction of pressure and time ensures absolute freedom from pests.
