Cloves are known for their really high antioxidant capacity of 290283! µmol TE (ORAC value = Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacit). By consuming foods rich in antioxidants, the defense mechanism in the body can be strengthened and an overproduction of free radicals can be balanced out. An ORAC daily requirement between 5000 and 7000 is recommended 2.
It continues with a strengthening function for the liver, stomach and brain, as was believed in the Middle Ages.1
Cloves are also very popular as a mild pain reliever when you have a toothache. The essential oils it contains can also produce a slightly numbing feeling in the mouth and were therefore once used as an alternative anesthetic at the dentist.

Even if it is "only" a spice, we assume that the handling of the food has a very decisive influence on the quality of the products.
Origin and manufacture:We source our organic clove powder from Sri Lanka. The cultivation areas are largely certified organic and are managed by the farmers who live there.
After being harvested by hand, the clove buds are gently dried, checked again and then ground into a fine powder. Many work steps are carried out traditionally and exclusively by hand.
In Austria, the clove powder is pressure-tested and repeatedly checked again. When it comes to printing, the interaction of pressure and time ensures absolute freedom from pests.
