Pecans contain vitamin B1, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, copper and manganese and thus they help to meet our daily needs for minerals and vitamins.1 In general, nuts have been shown to lower the cholesterol level in the blood due to their polyunsaturated fatty acids, stabilize the blood sugar level, support the blood vessels, reduce the risk of stomach and prostate cancer and heart attacks and inhibit inflammatory reactions. 2 The North American Indians took advantage of these properties and ate the pecans especially in the cold winter months, which ensured their survival.
Origin and processing: Our jumbo pecans are extra large and have a strong brown color. The taste is very pleasantly nutty and mildly aromatic and unadulterated. The shape of the nuts is reminiscent of that of walnuts. The fine, brown and edible skin, which is like a coating over the nut, also resembles that of the walnut. Our pecans come from the Santa Cruz Valley in the USA. A very exclusive product because only small yields are generated in the southern states of the USA.
Harvest and Purity: The pecans are harvested between October and November. The fruits are frozen immediately after harvest to preserve their freshness before peeling. Then the pecans are cracked, cleaned, washed and dried. When they arrive in Austria, the pecans are pressure treated and checked as standard. Why you should germinate our nuts!
inhibits and reduces phytic acids. Phytic acid is found in natural foods and inhibits the absorption of minerals in our body. A reduction in phytic acid has the advantage that the minerals it contains can be absorbed and are therefore available to us.3
Inhibits and reduces tannins. Tannins are tannins that the plant uses for its own protection. If too many tannins are ingested with food, it can lead to flatulence (digestive problems) and, above all, to a reduced absorption of iron and calcium (or minerals).4

use: If you can make it a habit to put your nuts in lukewarm water the evening before and let them stand overnight, then you will have very good pre-germinated nuts the next morning. If you have sprouted more nuts than you need, we recommend that you store them without the water in the refrigerator, or for a longer period of time, it is advisable to dry the nuts on a dry surface or in the oven.
