The Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum), also known as "Shiny Lackporling" in German-speaking countries, is one of the most important medicinal mushrooms. In East Asia, it is a traditional symbol of health, physical and mental recovery, longevity, high levels of sexual activity, wisdom and wealth.
Reishi has been used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for the following ailments for around 4,000 years until today: chronic hepatitis, cancer, weakened immune system, high blood pressure, heart disease, bronchitis, asthma, stomach ulcers, insomnia, kidney infections, joint inflammation. The Reishi is rich in micronutrients such as iron, magnesium, calcium, zinc, copper, manganese and germanium.

For the preparation of Reishi tea you need 1 heaping teaspoon of mushroom powder. Bring the water to the boil and then pour the hot, but no longer boiling water over it. Cover the liquid and let it steep for 15 minutes. Drain through a sieve and prepare with agave syrup or lemon juice, for example. We recommend the preparation: let it steep at 45 ° C overnight in order to preserve the nutrients as best as possible.
