They are used especially for heart failure, palpitations and hardening of the arteries. The berries are said to regulate blood pressure, but also to lower it.1 The hawthorn berries are safe to eat as a preventive measure.
Today, hawthorn is also used in homeopathy for heart failure and irregular pulse with pain under the left collarbone and burning rash. The most interesting ingredients in hawthorn berries are oligomeric procyanidins (OPC), glycosidic flavones such as vitexin and vitexin rhamnoside and glycosidic flavonols such as rutin and hyperoside, and they also contain 0.5 to 1% tannins.1 In dried hawthorn berries are the same nutrient as contained in the fresh berries, but additionally in a concentrated concentrated form.

The hawthorn berries are plowed by hand when they are fully ripe. The berries are then cleaned and dried. The drying process used is based on solar energy and is a very environmentally friendly solar drying method that is extremely gentle on the product.
