vital substances: The Yacon plant has a root that contains a high proportion of fructose sugar or oligofructose. Oligofructose is a polysaccharide that is one of the dietary fibers because our body cannot absorb this sugar. However, oligofructose feed our desired gut bacteria. In this way, our intestinal flora is strengthened and mobilized. In the countries of origin of the Yacon root, they are therefore consumed particularly for intestinal complaints. The root also contains minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron and vitamins B1, B2 and C.1
Description: Our sweet organic yacon syrup is carefully made from the roots of the yacon plant that have been thoroughly cleaned beforehand. Our syrup is completely natural and pure. Origin and manufacture: We source our organic Yacon syrup from Peru. The areas in which the plants grow are largely organic certified. After harvesting, the roots of the plants are carefully cleaned and checked. The actual syrup production is carried out very carefully and under high hygienic conditions. This ensures that our organic Yacon syrup is of very good quality.
As you can well imagine, manual work is still very important in Peru and so many individual work steps are carried out traditionally. This not only gets the urgently needed jobs, but our Yacon products also benefit from direct contact with people.
