Origin and production: We source our organic paper-wrapped almonds exclusively from a remote mountainous region in Uzbekistan / Samarkand. Large parts of the region are certified for organic products and are grown by local farmers. The farmers are part of a large community made up of three groups, Dustkul Bogi, Turkiston Gulba and Turob Bobo. The community includes 1,000 farmers and their families. By working together, the farmers can provide their families with a secure income and offer their children new opportunities. After careful harvesting, the almond shells are removed. This variety has a softer skin than other varieties. The almonds are then lightly toasted along with the shell.
product purity: The almonds in paper wrappers are pressure treated and checked in Austria. During the printing process, the combination of pressure and time ensures that the product is completely pest-free.
